The highlights of the ancient city of Athens are mostly the thrilling vestiges of the medieval classical Greek city, mostly represented by the Acropolis together with other historical features in the archeological sites surrounding it. Here are some of the sites which pull tourists to this city.

Its perimeter is made of a 104 column with more columns in the inside of the building that for so many years housed the statue of Zeus; only a number of columns in the gigantic structure can be seen today which all the same make for a good sight.

Ancient Agora, the archeological park which served as the market place in the 6 century is another of the site with numerous statues and ancient buildings’ ruins scattered all over due to an invasion in the those years, the most notable of them being the Thision and the Hephaistos. Another very spectacular feature in an Athens visit is an aerial excursion of Athens from one of its best vantage point; the Lykavittos hill in the middle of the city, visitors will enjoy catching the panoramic view of the Acropolis and other Athens monuments from hill top. Other attraction in the Lykavittos are the St. George chapel, and the theatre.
